BraWo Marathi Mandal e.V., in cooperation with the Consulate General of India in Hamburg, organised a celebration of Ganeshotsav on 30 August 2025 at the Roter Saal in Braunschweig.
This year, the entry free event but with obligatory registration was specially planned to showcase the presence of the Indian community at the city centre’s prime location, the Roter Saal on Schlossplatz 1 in Braunschweig. A consular camp could also be arranged at this time in cooperation with the Consulate General of India to address consular matters.
The Consular camp started at around noon and continued almost for 4 hours and many could take benefit for the offered services and clarify their queries. the Ganesh Aagaman procession started at around 14:20, showcasing the Dhol-Tashe-Lezim team of around 30 members in front of the Schloss Braunschweig, it continued for about 30 minutes and then the further Ganeshotsav Program continued at the Rotersaal with Puja and other rituals.
Shri Ram Babu Meena Ji represented Consulate General of India in Hamburg and addressed community, followed by cultural program moderated by Anvi Kate & Aaradhya Patil. Various artists presented their telents
- Nandini Kelkar and Ira Poonekar performed a sloka recitation.
- Swathi Rao sang a short Marathi abhanga, ‘Kanada Raja Pandharicha’, and the audience joined in and clapped to support her for the theka.
- Mayra Gadre sang sweet songs.
- Aditi Shimpi and Saee Andhare performed a dance to the song “Sur Niragas Ho”.
- Abhiram Bhave performed the ‘Jayostute’ melody on the violin.
- cultural program was concluded with the Sant Dnyaneshwar’s ‘Pasaydaan’ by Sau. Sumedha Gadre.
Light snacks was provided together with Prasadam towards end of the program.
Thank you to all those involved for the grand success of this program and first time ever presentation of a Dhol-Tashe-Lezim at City Center on the occassion of the Ganeshotsav.
