BraWo Marathi Mandal e.V. put up a fantastic show representing India at the Braunschweig International Festival 2025!
We were one of over 30 associations representing their countries at this festival, and we all showcased togetherness while living in Braunschweig, which was also a message from Mayor of Braunschweig. Dr Thorsten Kornblum. A big thanks to him for his kind words about our Dhol-Tashe-Lezim Band in his message- Kudos to the whole team!
We are proud to be partnered with the Braunschweig City and opened the festival with our festive Dhol-Tashe and Lezim Band for the 4th time in a row. We had our stall, where we presented Indian delicacies. In the afternoon, sitarist, composer and teacher Advait Gadgil, disciple of Padma Shri Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan, together with Arjun Kaliprasad on tabla, amazed the public with their mesmerising performance. The highest point was reached at 6 pm when a solo Lavani and group dance showcasing dances from different indian states were performed.
All in all, it was a fantastic show by all the performers and contributors!
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers, stall keepers, performers and contributors who worked tirelessly not only on the day, but also in the planning and preparation of this event.
Thank you also to all the visitors for your appreciation throughout the performances and at our stall — this motivates the whole team. We look forward to strengthening our team further to represent India next year, so be there in time!
