भारतीय स्वातंत्र्य दिन २०२५ । Indian Independance Day 2025

BraWo Marathi Mandal e.V. in cooperation with the Consulate General of India, Hamburg organised celebration of the 79th Independence Day of India on 15th August 2025 at Haus der Kulturen in Braunschweig.

This event was free for all, Only registration was required for better organizational purpose.

The Tiranga flag hoisting took place by small group who came in the morning, adjusting office working hours around 8 ‘O Clock followed by Rashtrageet.

In evening, Mitali Joshi  welcomed and took over the Moderation narating contributions of freedom fighters starting 1857 till 1947 and maintaining very good flow of the event throughout.  With prior musical practice and arrangements BraWo Marathi Mandals Music GroupUlrich Heine on Guitar, Saurabh Londhe on Bass, Atharva Vaishampayan on Basuri and Varad Bhagwat on Keyboard played Instrumental “Jana Gana Mana”, resulted in a patriotic atmosphere – all the audience stood up to pay respect the National Anthem. This was followed by 6 year old girl – Girija singing “Saare Jahan Se Accha” – audience stood and sung with her too. A small girl, Vagdevika also dressed and presented herself like “Rani Lakshmibai”. 3 Children – Abhigya, Anvi and Aaradhya presented “Knowing Bharat” showcasing some similarities and comparisons to the audience between Bharat and Germany on various aspect. Anvi Kate sung “Ai Vatan mere Vatan” Song & Varad Bhagwat sung “Chak de India” Song with a Karaoke Tracks. Such melodious singing of songs engaged the audience very much along with the presentation highlighting the cultural and historical ties between India and Germany. Ameya Kelkar gave a short but pitching speech about the current engagement needs for every indian individual we do in our Pledge-“Pratidnya” – “Bharat Maza Desh Aahe..” – showcasing and emphasizing its real meaning in all the aspects to help each other irrespective of religion, state, language or community but keep focus on the common “Indian Origin aspect”.

A heartfelt moment was reached when the entire gathering stood together to sing complete version of “Vande Mataram” sung by Swathi Sudeendra Rao, creating an atmosphere of unity and pride! & concluded with singing of Pasaydaan by Sumedha Gadre on 750th Birth Anniversary of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj shortly described by Gunesh Tallu .

The celebration was further enriched by a specially curated menu featuring tricolor-themed delicacies inspired by the Indian flag—Idli with chutney and a sweet Jalebi.

The Housefull Event concluded around 19 hrs with a very good note of togetherness and patriotism.
